Silver Earrings Workshop - Saturday 7th December 2024

Time for the Christmas Earrings workshop!

The perfect opportunity to take a break from the Christmas madness, have lots of fun and make Christmas presents at the same time.

Learn how to cut, shape and texture sterling silver sheet and wire to make three or four (or maybe more!) pairs of stunning stud and drop earrings - perfect for yourself or for presents!

The record for the number of earrings made in a workshop is 14 pairs - what will you make?

This workshop is suitable for beginners to jewellery making as it teaches many of the basic skills needed for more advanced skills, however those with previous experience will also find their skills tested and improved by the end of the session. In particular, the earrings workshop will teach delicate soldering skills to attach the stud fittings and earwires to your designs.

14 to 16 year olds are welcome but will need to be accompanied by a paying adult.

Tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes are included in the workshop fee, but lunch is not provided.

Date and Venue

10am-4.30pm Saturday 7th December 2023 at Fairways House, Mount Pleasant Road, Southampton, SO14 0QB. Full directions will be emailed.

Materials

Cost of the materials is payable on the day. The cost will depend on the amount of silver that you use but the earrings do not tend to use much silver. Previous students have spent approximately £10 on silver.

Tools and Equipment

The workshop fee includes use of all the tools and equipment needed. All workshops include worksheets to take home with you and discuss tools, equipment, materials and health and safety considerations.

Cancellations

Cancellations of workshop places and private tuition bookings within four weeks of the event will forfeit the workshop/private tuition fee unless I am able to find someone to take your place. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
