Getting to the studio
My studio is in the Bitterne Park area of Southampton in Hampshire, the SO18 area. I teach private tuition at my studio and small classes in the local area. We are about 15-20 minutes away from the city centre and Southampton Central train station, and approximately 10 minutes from both J5 and J7 of the M27 - there isn't a J6 by the way!
The closest mainline train stations are:
Southampton Parkway (next to Southampton Airport just the other side of J5 of the M27)
Eastleigh (small town just the other side of J5 of the M27)
Southampton Central
(our very closest train stations are Bitterne and Swaythling, but not all trains stop there!)

Local Accommodation
The closest hotels to Bitterne Park are in Eastleigh, just the other side of J5 of the M27. There are hotels in easy walking distance of both Eastleigh and Southampton Parkway train stations.
If you'd prefer to stay in Southampton itself, the city has a great choice of hotels (both budget and those a little higher in price) plus many Airbnbs. If you're looking at Airbnbs you may want to consider the area around either Ocean Village not far from the docks or the Cultural Quarter near London Road. You would need transport to the studio, but both these locations are within walking distance of great restaurants, shops and pubs.
