Workshop and Tuition Terms and Conditions
Workshop and Tuition Terms and Conditions
By booking a workshop place, a private tuition session or on a weekly class you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
Booking
- Classes are kept to a maximum of 8 students (6 in the case of some workshops) to ensure that everyone gets the help and attention they need to create beautiful jewellery.
- 14 to 16 year olds are welcome but will need to be accompanied by a paying adult. There is no maximum age limit!
- The workshops are held in a working studio with blow torches, sharp tools and large pieces of equipment. For your own safety closed toe flat shoes must be worn, long hair tied back and no scarves or similar must be worn. Safety glasses are provided for soldering and other relevant tasks.
- For the majority of workshops the material costs are extra. This is because silver is costed by weight and students use different amounts, and also students may choose stones etc of different values. In the case of private tuition and weekly classes all the materials costs are extra to the workshop fee. Please see the individual workshop pages for approximate workshop costs.
- If booking using a gift certificate please either enter the code at checkout or email studio@joannetinleyjewellery.com
- Tea, coffee and biscuits are included in the workshop fee, however lunch is not provided.
- If you usually wear reading glasses remember to bring them with you!
Cancellations
- In the unlikely event that a workshop has to be cancelled as much notice as possible will be provided. You will be offered either a place on an alternative date or a full refund of your workshop fee. Joanne Tinley Jewellery cannot be held responsible for accomodation or transport costs under these circumstances.
- Cancellations of workshop places and private tuition bookings within four weeks of the event will forfeit the workshop fee/private tuition deposit unless you or I are able to find someone to take your place. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
- If you cannot attend all the dates of your weekly class term I will do my best to swap you to a different weekly class running in the same term. If no spaces are available I will not be able to swap you and cannot refund the workshop fees under these circumstances.
