Silver Rings

Rings are such a fun project - and once you've learnt the basics there are so many design options!

This tuition project starts out as three simple silver rings - but that is where the fun starts as you then have a choice of designs! Will you choose the wide Sea Waves Ring, the interlocking Trinity Ring or perhaps a set of beautiful hammered and wavy stacking rings? Have a look at the video below to see more.

No previous experience of jewellery making is needed so this is a perfect project for beginners. You will be guided through everything you need to know step-by-step, from how to get the right size to soldering, hammering and polishing. Of course, if you've already got jewellery making experience and want to make a more complex ring design then let me know!

Is this topic a half day or full day's tuition?

A half day is enough time to make a Sea Waves ring, a Trinity ring or a set of stacking rings. However, if you'd like to make more than just one set or combine two half-day projects (bangles maybe?) in one day then you are more than welcome!

Is any previous experience needed?

No, none at all! I will take you through everything you need step by step. This a great project for a fun day out, and it's also an ideal project for starting your jewellery making journey as it teaches basic skills that are important for other projects.

What are the material costs?

Materials (sterling silver wire) are available for purchase on the day. The exact cost of the materials will be determined by the size and therefore weight of the ring(s) you make and the price of silver on the day, however material costs for most rings is approximately £12.
