Stone Set Rings Workshop - Friday 7th February 2020
Start by learning how to make a simple silver band and then spice things up by learning how to set your choice of semi-precious stone on the top! With a range of both stones and textures for the silver to choose from, everyone will leave with a beautiful and unique piece of jewellery.
The class is perfect for beginners to jewellery making as it teaches many of the basic skills needed for more advanced skills, and is a great introduction to stone setting. However those with previous experience will also find their skills tested and improved by the end of the session. Depending on time you will also have the opportunity to make a second plain silver ring to wear stacked with your stone-set ring.
Only 8 places are available to ensure that everyone gets the help and attention they need. Under 16 year olds are welcome but will need to be accompanied by a paying adult.
Tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes are included in the workshop fee, but lunch is not provided.
Date and Venue
10am-4.30pm Friday 7th February 2020 at The Sorting Office Studios, 37 Wells Road, Eastleigh, Hampshire. Full directions will be emailed.
Materials are available for purchase on the day. The exact cost of the materials will be determined by the size and therefore weight of the ring you make and the price of silver on the day, and also the cost of the stone that you choose. However material costs for most rings in the range of £8-£12, and they would normally retail at between £30 and £40.
