Sea Waves Ring Workshop - Friday 24th September 2021
The Sea Waves ring starts out as three simple silver rings - but that is where the fun starts as each ring is then shaped so that when stacked together they create a wider ring with curves and waves and spaces between the silver!
The rings can be textured with a variety of hammers, the silver can be given an antiqued finish or left bright and polished and of course each ring will be shaped differently - so many variations that everyone in the class can make their own unique piece of jewellery.
The Sea Waves Ring workshop teaches you all the traditional silversmithing techniques you need to create your own stunning and perfectly fitting sterling silver ring. This workshop is suitable for beginners to jewellery making as it teaches many of the basic skills needed for more advanced skills, however those with previous experience will also find their skills tested and improved by the end of the session. We will also discuss tools, equipment, materials and health and safety considerations.
A shorter workshop, timed perfectly to fit between the school runs.
14 to 16 year olds are welcome but will need to be accompanied by a paying adult.
Tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes are included in the workshop fee, but lunch is not provided.
