Learn how to make beautiful hollow form beads and pendants in this two day masterclass. I only run this workshop every couple of years, so don't miss out!

Hollow beads and pendants are a great way to create tactile, large but light pieces of jewellery! In this workshop I will teach you three different ways of creating them, and go through as many variations of the techniques as time will allow.

The three methods that we will cover are:

  • round lentil beads (plus a variation using other shapes)
  • closed boxes
  • hydraulic pressed forms made using my own range of silhouette dies

We will also cover other silversmithing techniques such as texturing using a rolling mill, sawing and piercing and of course soldering. A wide range of my rolling mill texture sheets will be available for you to use. Previous experience of soldering and sawing is a requirement of the workshop.

Please note that the photos showing designs with stones are examples of what can be made with the hollow form beads. I will discuss them and give lots of tips on how to use the hollow forms in your own designs but we will not have time for stone setting during the master class.

Only 6 places are available to ensure that everyone gets the help and attention they need and so that everyone gets enough time using the equipment. This class is not suitable for under 16 year olds.

Tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes are included in the workshop fee, but lunch is not provided.

The workshop fee can be paid in two equal installments by arrangement, with the second installment due no later than four weeks before the class.
