These beautifully flattering leaf drop earrings have been crafted with of my favourite things - my favourite hammer and my favourite jewellery technique, Keum Boo. I inherited my favourite hammer, and it's slightly damaged head gives a lovely and unique texture that reminds me of silver birch bark. Keum Boo is a Korean technique that translates as "attached gold", and is used to permanently bond 24k gold to fine silver, creating jewellery that has the strength of silver, the beautiful colour of 24k gold and of course the luxury of gold without breaking the bank!
The earrings swing from sterling silver ear wires and have been given a dark antiqued patina. The gold is not affected by the patina and so shines brightly against the darker silver.
Choose from two lengths of ear wires, and do have a look at the last set of photos to see how the Golden Leaf earrings are made!
